Panama connects North and South America and its music reflects both cultures. This fantastic compilation focuses on a cross-section of diverse music from Panama in the mid 60's and early 70's, the tracks span funk, descargas and calypsos. Much of the music has a distinct African jazz feel as if Mulatu Astake from Ethoipia had been dropped into Panama at some point! Panama 3 with definitely get your head bopping and feet tapping with it's infectious energy, funky percussive rhythms and brilliant story-telling lyrics.

Comes with a great booklet jammed full of of notes and photos. Don't miss this superb compilation!
