This time round, he's focusing on modern soul and city-pop from Tokyo, with each of the nine tracks on show being released at some point between 1974 and 1988. Naturally there's plenty to set the pulse racing throughout, from the languid reggae/jazz-funk fusion of Gam's 'Lake In The Forest', the simmering pre-disco modern soul warmth of Naomi Chioki's 'Yoru E Isogu Hito', to the classic 80s big studio city-pop of Nami Shimada's 'Mitsumeteirunoni' and the slow-motion, synth-splattered, Azymuth-influenced excellence of 'Island Cuckoo' by Chikara Ueda & The Power Station.
