Ostinato Records follow on from their killer 'Synthesize The Soul' compilation and focus on the beautiful lost music from Somalia. This stunning comp comes to us due to the bravery and defiance of many dedicated people - radio broadcasters decided to bury thousands upon thousands of cassette tapes and master reels from a radio station on the eve of punishing air strikes on the north of the country during the two decade cicvil war.

Having only recently been excavated The Ostinato Records team have digitized a large portion of the archive, distilling 15 songs that reveal the panoramic diversity of styles and sophistication of Somali musicianship. This stunning comp has the verve of Ethio soul, jazz, blues, folk, afro-beat and more!
