The ever-reliable Strut records team up with Aloha Got Soul's Roger Bong to shine a whole new light on the lesser explored disco, funk and jazz music of Hawaii! Pretty much most of these tunes you won't have heard of. Mike Lundy, featured here, has of course been championed by Gilles Peterson, and Nohlelani Cypriano was played by Floating Points and Four Tet in their infamous farewell Plastic People set. That said, the gorgeous blue-eyed soul of Tender Leaf, and Aura's funky soul number shouldn't be overlooked!
