Djingo Typical Band Vini Ouais (With Art Of Tones Remix)

      • 2. Vini Ouais (Art Of Tones Remix)

Picked out by label padrone Guts for his Straight From The Decks series, Djingo Typical Band's 'Vini Ouais' is a radiant Afro-Caribbean cut from French Guiana. Though they're hardly known besides the one track, we hope this one facilitates better biographic forensic work by future historians. What we do know is that the quietly took on a second life when Art Of Tones made an unofficial remix, depositing past the master bus a deeply affectionate rework passed between selectors like Antal and Radio Meuh. Word of mouth gave it freestanding floor legs long before it saw daylight, and now, after some anticipation, it enjoys its properest release, AOT further polishing the original's percussive heartbeat with heavier low-end and crisp production compared to the circulated remix.
