ASC and Skanna, two leading figures in atmospheric jungle, collaborate for the first time on this rather understated, limited-edition 12". 'Switch' and 'Beyond Time' hear both Skanna's much-anticipated return and the unforeseen creation of a duo, as the UK pair deliver two roughly pottered moods, pelting forth a fresh take on emotive jungle. Pressed on black smoke vinyl, and with a graphically pleasing design on the front, a precision mood is matched: the A cut wastes no frequencies with its perfectly compressed amens and sacralised pads, while the B's mood is relatively intermediary in feel, puttering between uncertainty and floatiness.
