Six years on from legendary NYC house label Strictly Rhythm's 30th birthday, the Defected-own stable has decided to reissue all three of its celebratory compilations. Like parts two and three, this first instalment is packed to the rafters with both much-played club hits and cult classics. That means Code's warming soulful house treat 'Equinox (Heavenly Club Mix)' and CLS's spine-tingling deep house gem 'Can You Feel It (In House Dub)' sitting side by side with Wink's TB-303 assault 'Higher State of Consciousness', George Morel's after-hours favourite 'Let's Groove', Hardrive's gorgeous 'Deep Inside' (an early solo production from Masters at Work's 'Little' Louie Vega) and the all-star excellence of the Louie Vega/Lil' Louis/John Ciafone jam 'Freaky' (as Lou2)
