Strictly Rhythm continues to delve into the label's vast catalogue and offer up fresh pressings of key cuts and cult classics. The latest is 'Follow Me', the 1992 debut of New Jersey trio Aly-Us. In its A-side 'Club Mix' variation - presented here, like all the tracks, in remastered form - is a chunky-but-breezy chunk of garage-house of the sort most associated with fellow NJ collective Blaze. Turn to side B for the outfit's own dub, a more stripped back affair that wisely foregrounds the jazzy, looped bassline and life-affirming keyboard licks, and the original instrumental take. Unlike the superior 'Dub', it strips out all the vocals in favour of showcasing the group's grooves and fluid piano licks.
