Issued on the tiny Stone Records label, the music sits close to the ground, shaped by local voices and small studios rather than regional industry muscle. Georgia produced giants in that decade, but these recordings show how much talent lived just outside the spotlight. Alice Rozier and Little Joe bring plainspoken intensity to 'I'm Gonna Hold On To You' and 'I Love You', their vocals worn but assured. The Flintstones cuts are brief, sharp flashes of rhythm and attitude, while Thomas Bailey's tracks stretch a little further, leaning into funkier grooves and melodic pull. Remastered from original singles, the collection restores a missing chapter of Macon's soul history, rough-edged, heartfelt and alive.
