Discotchari focuses on the Iranian pop diaspora particularly in the harder-boiled streets of LA, where pre-revolutionary producers and artists remade and reimagined the musical sensibilities of their homelands under exile after the Iranian revolution. With its various tracks remastered at Osiris Studio, we get Shahrokh's 'Man Va Tou', Ebi's 'Kolbeh Man' and Black Cats' 'Rhythm of Love', all of which blur disco, Latin fusion, electronic beats, reggae, and post-disco textures with Persian motifs.
