G, a London shadow music library of giants like KPM and Bruton, shaded a sound all its own; this deceptively brightly coloured collection swings between morning haze and after-dark unease, from yacht-leaning jazz and pastoral folk to reverb-heavy psychedelia and spaced-out fusion. Founded by John Gale in 1966, the works you hear on this repress quietly threaded their way into UK TV, Monty Python records, and later, modern productions by the likes of Chemical Brothers, Knxwledge, Tyler The Creator and Aphex Twin.
