The Children of Gaza Mixtape project responds to the devastating loss of lives in Gaza, especially children. The 90-minute cassette mixtape, pays homage to the cultural significance of cassettes in Palestinian history. Rooted in spiritual jazz, but extending into experimental electronics, deep soul, and diasporic rhythms, the mix evokes introspection, liberation, and higher consciousness. It includes soundbites from young Palestinian journalists, poets, and children based in the UK, sharing heartfelt messages for Gaza.
Children of Gaza is inspired by and collaborates with Molhem, a Gaza-based stationery brand founded in 2022 as a hub for Palestinian artistry. Despite the destruction of their business and immense personal loss, Molhem’s founders remain determined to rebuild, turning shared grief into a source of hope.
All profits directly support injured and orphaned children in Gaza.
