The fifth and final instalment in Mass Appeal's Legend Has It series, commemorating Big L, who was shot dead in Harlem on February 15, 1999, aged just 24. Only two years earlier, Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous cemented his reputation as one of New York's most technically gifted lyricists; Harlem's Finest nw collects bars and vocal lines recorded between 1992-1999, remastered and built into new productions by a roster calling on Lord Finesse, Showbiz and Beat Butcha, and executively produced by Royce Da 5'9". The guest list reaches across eras: Nas, Jay-Z, Method Man, Joey Bada$$, and Mac Miller, whose vocals were recorded in 2010 and appear here posthumously.
