With a sound rooted in UK bass music, Dobie delivers his 3rd LP for Big Dada. Boasting production credits for Soul II Soul, Bjork, Massive Attack and London Posse to name a few!
Thirteen effortessly woven techno, house, dubstep, latin, two step, jazz, funk in a style similar to Flying Lotus, but with a distinctly London flava. Favourites have to "The Beginning", the bass hits you like a punch to the chest, reminding us of Harmonic 313, then there's the bleep-bass of "Blip 214", the tribal D-Bridge esque polyrhythmics of "She Moans" and restless bass chants on "Magenta".
"We Will Not Harm You" is a work of art in its own right. But it also has a work of art on its cover - Turner Prize winner Chris Ofili has painted an original image specifically for the album.
