Among the rarest and most beloved music to come from Japan in the '70s, Yoshiko Sai's Mangekyou gets a long overdue reissue here. The singer-songwriter worked with producer and skilled musician Yuji Ohno, who worked funky brass parts and soulful arrangements into the mix, a perfect pairing to her ethereal vocals.
