Saludos Amigos (1942) Donald Duck And Goofy Down South America Way!

    Walt Disney

As part of America's Good Neighbour foreign policy, Walt Disney made two films (Saludos Amigos and the Three Caballeros) in the early 1940s set in the backyard (Latin America) of North America. The reasoning for this was to improve relations between North America and Latin America in order to stop the threat of communism entering these countries. That's the background - the story involves Goofy, Donald Duck and others visiting these countries. This includes meeting Joe Carioca, a Brazilian Duck who joins in with Donald singing two wicked sambas with amazing animation. Which is why we love this film!
