Afrobeat drumming pioneer Tony Allen and the (now sadly departed) South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela got together in 2010 when their touring schedules allowed, with the unfinished sessions laying in an archive until last summer when producer Nick Gold applied the finishing touches.
