Some 30 years into their career, the Detroit-born, Berlin-based duo Dopplereffekt reach a new point of focus with their first release for Tresor. True to form, the four tracks navigate the border between precision and abstraction. 'Time Modulation-Graviton Pulse' opens with mechanical symmetry - built like circuitry - before 'Multiverse Wavefunction' dissolves into diffuse tones that feel half-dreamed. On the B-side, 'Collapse of Simultaneity' stretches into cold, sculptural techno, while 'Olbers Paradox' drifts toward deep-space ambience. Each track seems to question the boundary between physics and perception, order and decay. The result is less a celebration of longevity than a study in motion - Dopplereffekt folding time back on itself.
