First international release for a raw and heavy Guinean Jazz session from 'maestro', Kwi Bamba, leader of the 60s State-funded orchestra Nimba Jazz, the precursor to Bembeya Jazz National. The album was recorded in the forested region of Northern Guinea near the border with Ivory Coast in 1997 direct to minidisc by Frédéric Migeon and covers a variety of styles from Guinea, mainly from the Guerzé and Kpellé traditions.
