Curio Curio brings together Rio-born vocalist Luiza Monteiro, now based in Austria, and German producer Dustin Braun, whose analogue-rich productions draw on MPB, samba and disco with an easy musical fluency. 'Bem Querer' arrives in a rush of carnival colour. Hand percussion skitters, guitars shimmer and Monteiro's voice floats above the groove with playful warmth, the chorus blooming into a bright, communal singalong. On the flip, 'Amor Doente' settles into a slower, more languid sway. A loose funk rhythm carries the track while horns and soft keys drift through the arrangement, giving the song a sun-soaked, late-night glow.
