    Vampi Soul focus on a small musical scene that emerged in the early 80s in Montevideo, Uruguay. A very unique sound was developed within the narrow boundaries of the capital by just a small group of very talented artists; singer-songwriting, jazz fusion and experimental music converged, resulting in ethereal vocal arrangements with traditional acoustic guitars playing with synthesizers and drum machines: Candombe and Latin American music form an amalgam with new wave and 'dream' pop. A fascinating document with most the tracks being reissued for the first time.
