All artwork designed by Heatsick himself and includes 12 X 12 hand-screen printed numbered artwork.

"Snakes & Ladders" - where Casio stabs and a barking bassline builds up to a stretching crescendo of white-noise percussion - a rhythm track from the Music Box heyday performed in striking Casio tones.

The ultimate night driving music  - "Time Smudge" is an interstellar journey through trippy space pads and grinding pedalled bass.

    Heatsick explains:

"Snakes & Ladders deals with game theory on the grid, slithering around precariously only to fall down a worm(snake?) hole on Time Smudge, reprogramming the ride"

Omar Souleyman Haflat Gharbia : The Western Concerts Sublime Frequencies

Collected here are the best, most electrifying and intense moments from Syrian folk-pop singer, Omar Souleyman's Western tours between 2009 and 2011.

Like many Syrian musicians, he made his name as a singer for wedding parties in the region, with hundreds of cassettes and CDs documenting his performances distributed throughout the country.  Loved by Westerns and Arabs alike, Omar Souleyman is Syria's first musical export! Most recently he remixed Bjork's 'The Crystalline Series'.

Using a dedicated band made of keyboards, electric saz and percussion, dressed in his trademark checkered khaffya, sunglasses and elegant jalaba, Omar delivers his unique and charismatic delivery of Syrian electrified folkloric dabke, Iraqi choubi and Arabic shaabi which has captured the attention of diverse western music fans.

Kelan Philip Cohran & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble Kelan Philip Cohran & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble Honest Jon's

Father and many sons collaborate for the first time! Legendary spiritual jazz musician Philip Cohran is joined by a band comprised of his eight sons, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble!

Philip Cohran grew up in St Louis, post-war home of jazz stalwarts like Clark Terry and Oliver Nelson (both of whom he played with), not to mention a genius called Miles Davis. In in the mid '50's after moving to Chicago, he made a small group with John Gilmore and in 1959 he was invited to join the Sun Ra Arkestra. In 1961, Sun Ra moved east and Philip founded his own Zulu Records, settled in Chicago were he had his large family and became their music teacher.

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Philip Cohran compliment each other brilliantly, HBE with their rich, layers of mesmerising horns and Cohran's Frankiphone (a modified electric thumb piano), this best shown on the ten-minute track "Spin". An album that is contemporary whilst still steeped in jazz tradition.

    9DW (Nine Days Wonder)9DWWaxpoetics

Spacey electronic jazz-fusion from the Land of the Rising Sun! Synthesizer heavy on every track, this album retains a highly organic feel, jammy at times but never unorganized.

Kensuke Saito, founder, guitarist, and keyboardist of the group, obviously has his sights set on the new. By crafting the vibe of the album around his electronic piano, Saito has spearheaded thirteen cuts that make fusion fresh again.

    Benjamin BrunnDust (Part 2)Ashes

For the 2nd beautifully-pressed 10" from his 'Dust' collection, Ben Brunn goes deeper, with two expert 707-led trips through rising textures and cannily propulsive basslines. Clever and hypnotising drum programming takes centre-stage on 'Neonlight Time', resting on a bed of gently attacking pads; while 'Pola' on the other side conjures up a massive synthetic sunrise to melt the coldest of hearts into a lovely early-morning group hug. Ultra-lush house music.

    Boonlorm String Figures Wild Calm

The latest project from Pocketknife working under his new moniker Boonlorm. A ten track album featuring “piano not piano” house music created solely with a prepared piano and raw drum programming that pays homage to Chicago, Detroit, and the 20th century avant-garde. String Figures is “screw music” in the most literal sense with direct ties to the late composer John Cage who created the first prepared piano pieces by inserting objects into the strings of a grand piano. The sound that resonates is a rich combination of tonal, atonal and percussive timbres. String Figures buzzes, vibrates, and jacks all at once.

    John Tejada Parabolas Kompakt

Sublime deep techno album from profilic American-based producer John Tejada on Kompakt. Genres collide and combine with an unraveling of blissful layers on “Parabolas”. The opening track, “Farther & Fainter,” offers a musicality today's techno and house often lack — an accomplishment that resonates throughout the album. Sparse, minimal techno with other-wordly melodies weaved into tough basslines and heart-pumping beats. Recommended!

Very, very, very limited repress of this Sound Signature gem from Jerry The Cat.

An overlooked Sound Signature bomb - "I Only Have Eyes For You", is super deep tribal, jazz-house snatching the vocal from the American songbook standard, "I Only Have Eyes For You". The b-sdide "Vanished" uses eastern instruments, jazz percussion and floating melodics with a deep Detroit house back beat - really unusual, not to be missed!

    Heatsick Convergence No 'label'

Brimming with stimuli from these four minimalist drum machine workouts from Heatsick.

Warming up with cute chords on "Benelux" before opening up in the 2nd half of the tune with grizzly bass, tight Chicago groove with mad-hatter style free jazz strings. Really good.  Druggy, dubby grooves on "Spacescape". The flip, "Convergence" has a melting pot to sounds, mashing up off-kilter african drumming, deep Chicago house and oddball synth action. Quirky DJ tool "The juggler" rounds things off.
