Although their history goes way back to the mid 1980s, four-piece De'Lacy will always be remembered for their 1994 club anthem 'Hideaway'. This Easy Street reissue boasts all of the essential revisions and DJ tools featured first time around, including a suite of versions from Klubhead, a lesser celebrated alias of Blaze's Josh Milan and Kevin Hedges. These include the breezy, organ-rich 'Hideout' mix, the mid-90s garage-house/'trad garage' flex of the 'Klubhouse' interpretatiuon (whose organ riffs are relentless and infectious), and the pair's more minimalistic, stripped-back and bass-heavy 'Dub-a-way' revision. Best of all, though, is Deep Dish's epic, extra-percussive, 12-minute version, the revision that not only made the record a global club hit but also established the Washington, D.C duo's reputation.
