Spectular mystical debut album from Gonjasufi on Warp Records!

Friend of Flying Lotus, rapper, singer, Mojave desert-dweller-yogi and California resident Gonjasufi aka Sumach Ecks has created a truely unique album alongside West coast producers Gaslamp Killer, Flying Lotus and Mainframe!

'A Sufi & A Killer' is nineteen tracks of lo-fi, wigged-out psychedelic cosmic hip hop! This is undoubtedly one of the most interesting projects to have dropped at Warp in a long time, the music is instantly loveable and bound to go down as a modern classic. Big talk, but proof is in the listening!  Gonjasufi swings between raspy whispers, beastly vocal growls and hypnotic trippy poetry. Gaslamp has produced the majority of this album and the two fit together like two peas in a pod.  Gaslamp draws influence from soul, funk, rock, psychedelia and eastern sounds, the results are bizaare at times but ultimately genius.  Check funky bass driven bomb 'Kowboyz & Indians!!! Wicked!
