    • 1. Emorio
    • 2. Naturalmente

Before the full LPs and starring film roles, Fafa De Belem entered Brazilian music with a delightful sound and spring in her step. First released in 1975, this 7" single marks her debut on record, cut while she was still emerging from Para into the wider national spotlight. Both sides, 'Emorio' and 'Naturalmente', written by Joao Donato alongside Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso, originally appeared on Donato's Lugar Comum album out the same year. De Belem's readings are wide and booming, a mix engineer's dream, clear and spotless sound separation benefiting each song's cosmopolitanism and lightness of step. Long prized by selectors, with no loss of draw today.
