    • 1. Banda Juvenil Mayas Amautas - Crees Que Soy Sexy?
    • 2. Los Bravos Del Ande - El Travoltoso

Peruvian dance bands Banda Juvenil Mayas Amautas and Los Bravos Del Ande drag Rod Stewart and John Travolta up into the thin Andean air for a wild bilingual spin on global disco. 'Crees Que Soy Sexy?' flips Stewart's 1978 hit - which, obviously, ultimately has its roots in a Brazilian carnival tune - into a huayno stomp, raring with rattling percussion, blaring brass and the buoyant energy of a village procession turned block party. 'El Travoltoso' answers back on The B with a cheeky homage to Saturday Night Fever, reimagined through cumbia rhythms and panpipe hooks. First released in late 70s Peru, these two cuts are a snapshot of a country reshaping Western pop to its own pulse: Vampisoul finally gives them a proper outing on 7".
