"Why" by Traxin is one of those records you rarely see available for sale, but only hear about in whispers and collector circles. Recorded in 1985 originally under the Food, Clothes & Shelter label right at the period when reggae started going digital. The social commentary and conscious tune "Why" was produced by veteran arranger Dennis Fearon (aka 'Jah D') who was constantly updating studio equipment, enticing different sounds from instruments and singers giving mixes a roughness that enhanced the process rather than detracting from the precision of the analogue days.
