This is a fantastic documentary!
Haring joined the dots between the New York art gallery world of Andy Warhol and urban graffiti much in the way that his friend Jean Michel Basquiat did. But Haring also lived in the underground gay scene of New York's baths and the club scene especially the Paradise Garage which, as a friend of Larry Levan (and frequent performing artists such as Grace Jones and Madonna), led to Haring's pictures becoming almost synonomous with the club.
Haring is the artist who brought these world's together. The music throughout the film is wicked - again a mixing of sub-cultures as electro, hip-hop, disco and new wave collide in New York City.
The film includes lots of old footage and interviews with his friends and family.
Once again, a fantastic documentary!
