Olindo Records launch their sister label Musica Infinita with a reissue from an overlooked cornerstone of Venezuelan jazz - 'The Message' by Gerry Weil. Originally released in 1971, the influence that ‘Bitches Brew’ era Miles, Hendrix, Tower of Power and fusion had on this album; even the cosmic, big band jazz sound of Sun Ra . ‘The Message’ is an exceptional release packed with raw funk grooves, big band horns, and Gerry’s unique, gravelly vocal that's hidden in amongst the swirling, psychedelic, jazz melody. Killer release!
