Renowned for creating the iconic riff in Betty Wright's 'Clean Up Woman' and delivering the #2 r&b hit 'Party Down,' bassist, guitarist, and arranger Little Beaver is a cult hero amongst soul fans. He proved that beyond doubt with his 1972 debut album, Joey, which now gets reissued on both black wax, as well as this clear vinyl version. It's a sublime blend of rhythm & blues, soul and funk all enhanced by lush orchestrations. It features the captivating title track 'Joey,' which as produced by Betty Wright, along with 'I'm Losin' the Feelin',' which was later covered by Gwen McRae, plus the soulful 'Katie Pearl.' All beautifully remastered to preserve the original warmth and spirit, this is a must-cop reissue.
