This is a collection of the first three monumentally heavyweight avant-garde releases from the German ambient space-rock pioneers Cluster featuring Conrad Schnitzler, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, and Dieter Moebius! Before their classic spacial electronic 70 releases, Kluster (originally spelt with a K), released 3 truly radical releases that have become a cornerstone of the whole kraut rock movement. Taking their cue from Joseph Beuys (who was a tutor to Kluster's Conrad Shnitzler), Kluster strove to redefine music without reference to rhythm or melody or tradition as a way of dealing with being German post-world war 2. The music is pre-sample experimental, electronic and industrial genius. This release is the first time that their infamous first 3 albums have been available for many years. Their first album (included here) was originally released in 1969, and only 300 copies were ever made and released in bespoke plastic, embossed covers - now fetching up to £1000! All three CDs here are amazing examples of pioneering ambient music featuring guitar, percussion, keys, and cello heavily processed with echo, filters, and tape machines to create an effect unlike anything else that was being made at the time. Absolutely essential and seminal progressive music! Contains excellent liner notes! Check it out!
