Taking influence from his love of British dance music, New Yorker Falty DL follows up his debut album 'Love Is A Liabilty' with a brand new album for Planet Mu. After spending 2010 honing his craft and working on singles for a bunch of different labels and remixes for the likes of The XX, Mount Kimbie and Anthony Shakir, Falty DL, born Drew Lustman, pulls his skills and experience together for this album.
'You Stand Uncertain' shows a real development and maturity of sound to its predecessor. Whilst this album bears the hallmarks of UK dance music, Falty DL has incorporated his own native New York disco, house and hip hop surroundings allowing him to explore different tempos and moods. Highlights include album opener 'Gospel Of Opal' a dreamy bass featuring Starkey collaborator Anneka, multifaceted synthy breaks killer 'The Pacifist', you can hear his love of hardcore on tracks 'Open Space' and the damn right rude 'You Stand Uncertain'. A very very good album indeed!
