The Gorgon in fine style! Back in 2017, Cornell Campbell teamed up with The 18th Parallel to put out the beautiful ‘Lovely Feeling’, a roots reggae 7” reminiscent of Randy’s early 70s sound. A few months later, Cornell and the Swiss band went back in studio to pay another tribute to the Jamaican sound of the 70s. Do you remember ‘Dance in A Greenwich Farm’ or ‘Two Face Rasta’ ? Kingston, 1975. Bunny Lee’s flying cymbals riddims mixed by King Tubby and his big knob, Cornell Campbell’s golden years.
Led by legendary drummer Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace, The 18th Parallel tried to dive deep into the reggae of 1975 to bring back this feeling on ‘HOLD ON’: flying riddim, choping guitar, heavy filter mix by Roberto Sánchez and the one and only Cornell Campbell himself behind the microphone. Flash it!
