Art Blakey leads Freddie Hubbard trumpet, wayne SHorter sax, Curtis Fuller trombone, Cedar Walton piano, Jymie Merritt bass.

First album on Blue Note from 1961, a real gem as are all their half dozen studio albums on Blue Note & Riverside. Great band compositions, particularly from Shorter, great soloists and Art Blakeys powerhouse drumming proppelling it all along. One of the all time great jazz groups.
