Jazzamor, the long-running duo from Frankfurt, return to the surface with a neat little 7" that shows how lightly they can handle familiar material. Their take on Jamiroquai's 'Space Cowboy' doesn't try to out-funk the original but instead moves with a quick bossa sway, Bettina Mischke's vocals softening the melody while small flickers of Roland Grosch's guitar can be heard underneath. It feels breezy, unhurried, and almost like a song you might stumble across drifting out of a cafe on a warm afternoon. The flip, 'Caminho', reaches further back to their 2002 debut but it still carries that same easy, gently electronic pulse. Nothing here is showy, just two crisp cuts from a group who always understood how to fold Brazilian influences into something that carries its style lightly.
