The south London reggae singer Roger Robin began his career in the mid- 1970s, performing alongside such notable U.K. reggae figures as Maxi Priest and Smiley Culture, before releasing his first solo album in 1993. His 2007 alliance with the storied sound system DJ and producer Jah Shaka benefits greatly from arrangement assistance from the London duo of Mafia and Fluxy, who lend rootsy cuts such as "Use Me Jah" and "Keep on Chanting" a bubbling, commercial feel.
