Natty Bo is an internationally renowned DJ, MC, singer, dancer, and visual artist. He grew up in South East London and started digging music at a very young age. His vast record collection of 45s, 78s and LPs is much envied and includes jump blues, rock ‘n’ roll, swing, Latin jazz, gospel, soul, funk, ska, rocksteady, reggae, son, mambo, calypso, mento, cumbia, Township jive and other vintage Tropical rhythms.
As well as performing with his bands: Ska Cubano, Top Cats and Natty Congeroo & The Flames Of Rhythm – Natty Bo is a resident DJ at Soho’s famous Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues. He also spins records on Gaz’s sound system at Notting Hill Carnival each year and is in great demand as a guest DJ. Over the years, Natty has run clubs of his own such as Killer Dillers, Bakelite Bop and Brixtown Special. With over 30 years’ experience under his belt, Natty’s skills as a selector and deejay are second to none. As a dancer, he knows what works and is guaranteed to keep the dancefloor jumping.
As bandleader of the hugely popular Ska Cubano (2000-2014), Natty won widespread international critical acclaim allowing him to performs regularly around the world to this day. The Top Cats formed in South London 1996, a wild jumpin’ sweet & soulful 9-piece authentic Jamaican ska rocksteady & reggae band lead by singer Natty Bo – with a strong front line of brass featuring Miss Megu on sax and a backbone of rhythm n bass to shake up the place! Natty Bo has also performed in and with Jamaican legends The Skatalites, Laurel Aitken, Prince Buster, Dennis Alcapone, Alton Ellis, Derrick Morgan, Roy Shirley, The Trojans, Goldmaster Allstars, Desmond Dekker, Winston Francis, Cornell Campbell, Johnny Clarke, Freddy Notes, and Owen Grey.
The brand-new album “BRIXTOWN SPECIAL” was recorded in summer 2025 – it’s a fantastic studio snapshot of their legendary live set combining classics and originals with style and maturity for your dancing feet and listening pleasure! Ten ska, rocksteady and reggae tunes delivered with passion and intensity by a band that has been performing memorable and unique live shows for 3 decades. Pressed on white and purple vinyl, each limited to 250 copies.
