Recorded during an almost 24-hour, first-day marathon session for All My Relations, 'Mitote' came about organically through group improvisation sessions and spontaneous composition. Featuring Sunny Jain of Red Baraat on dhol, Bosco and the band quickly shaped a driving arrangement built on a heavy backbeat and a blues-form foundation that manages to capture both ecstasy and struggle in equal measure. 'Dilo,' originally recorded during the Ancestros Futuros sessions but left off the album, centres on a rhythmic framework composed by Brian Wolfe and arranged collectively. A dynamic call-and-response between percussion and saxophone is punctuated by high bell patterns and deep, resonant drum hits.
