Guitarist Fabiano Do Nascimento and Los Angeles producer E Ruscha V hook up to magnificent effect here on an escapist ambient album full of studio precision. The playing is fluid and immaculate as Nascimento's quicksilver runs glide across Ruscha's analogue synths, drum machines and modular textures with control that only comes with years of playing. Ruscha, whose past projects include Medicine, Secret Circuit and Future Pigeon, constructs a gleaming electronic backdrop that constantly shifts yet remains calm and measured. The result recalls the mood of obscure 70s library recordings in that they are refined, gently hypnotic and technically flawless.
