Limited reissue of the 1980 LP Fata Morgana, an ultra-rare unearthed Krautrock gem from top German instrumentalist Richard Schneider Jr. A tour de force of experimental electronica, this album is hugely innovative but always retains its innate musicality due to Schneider’s consummate skill at balancing his beloved instruments with the best of the new technology available to him at the time.

Star of the show is the 15 minute long title track - an epic ride through an eerie electronic wonderland of searing arpeggios, dark squelching synth and apocalyptic vocal samples - frightening yet exquisite at the same time. Also includes the fantastic smooth space-funk of Regina’s Dance, the wonderful slightly bonkers Golden Blue Ball - a fantastic reggae-tinged rock dancer with the fattest squelchy bass and quirky Bowie- esque vocals, prog-rock monster Nightmare Feeling and the quirky acid-tinged atmospherics of Birds and Children. Pure brilliance from a hugely talented composer.
