Detroit born Karriem Riggins, was schooled by the late jazz bassist Roy Brown and has backed legends such as Hank Jones, Oscar Peterson, Milt Jackson, Donald Byrd and Ron Carter.

In the style of Dilla's classic 'Donuts' LP, there is very much a Detroit sound on here; roughly chopped, jazz and hip-hop in equal measures, using a broad, ecletic palette of samples.
