Jo Tongo / Sookie Afro Funk Gems: Volume Five

    Mukatsuku
    • Jo Tongo – Piani
    • Sookie – Rhythm On Rhythm (Nik's Exclusive MUKAT Re-Edit Version)
    • 1. Jo Tongo – Piani
    • 2. Sookie – Rhythm On Rhythm (Nik's Exclusive MUKAT Re-Edit Version)

Afro-Funk monster 'Piani' from French -African artist, Jo Tongo, commences with a haunting yet memorable intro before developing into an afrocentric funk /disco groove that will keep your dancefloor alight. On the flip, the Joe Bisso produced funk gem 'Rhythm On Rhythm' from Sookie gets an edit from label boss Nik Weston who replays the funkier elements of the track with repeated breaks and lashings of brass stabs and wobbly bass lines.
