The Fugees rose to fame in the mid-1990s with a lineup featuring rapper/singer/producer Wyclef Jean, rapper/ singer/producer Lauryn Hill, and rapper Pras Michel. Refugee Camp (Bootleg Versions) is a remix album of a song selection from their 1994 debut Blunted On Reality and follow-up The Score, released in 1996.
The album features eight tracks, including seven remixes, and one new recording. The album peaked at No. 127 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
