Opened in 1972 the Channel One studio, located on Maxfield Avenue in the heart of the Kingston ghetto and installed with the best recording equipment available, quickly became one of the most popular studios in Jamaica. The studio was set up and owned by the Hookim brothers and their Channel One in-house musicians, known as The Revolutionaries, became one of the most influential bands to ever record in Jamaica.
The set features key dub tracks from the time such as 'Ragnampaiza Version', 'Rema Skank' and rarities including 'Counter Attack' and 'Speak Easy' all of which are much sought after by reggae collectors. The tracks have been re-mastered and Cedared to the usual high standard and the CD comes packaged with a twelve page full colour booklet with sleevenotes.
