1970 Italian Library recording -- swift jazzy and funky sounds ranging between mellow dreamy moods and wicked addictive drum breaks. Arawak is one of a multitude of pseudonyms that Luciano Simoncini used in his career as a composer for film scores and background music for radio and television in Italy. Laying virtually unknown until “Accade a Harlem” was used by Quasimoto (Madlib) - now reissued for the first time by Light In The Attic subsidary Golden Pavilion.

Sherwood & Pinch Bring Me Weed Tectonic

Representing two generations of bass music here - legendary dub producer, owner of the seminal On U sound label Adrian Sherwood, and Tectonic boss and dubstep pioneer Pinch!

Both producers styles given the limelight here on "Bring Me Weed", a steppers riddim, with a growly dubstep underbelly and sweet male vocal. "Weed Psychosis Mix" - acts like the paranoid counterpart to the original - sparse, percussive, dark, with a gurgling bass line.
