Rizà (translated to ‘roots’, ‘foothills’) is a trio of Themistoklis Karpodinis, Costis Zouliatis (aka Costinho) and Petros Lamprides, who attempt a different approach of Greek traditional and folk music, with unadorned music arrangements tuned in an acoustic mood.
Their self-titled album debut features nine old traditional folk songs from Greece – mainly originated from the islands’ regions: Cyclades, Dodecanese, Evia, Aegina, Lesvos as well as from Asia Minor west coast.
