Fitting with the space jazz icon's mystique, Uncharted Passages was a puzzle for archivists to figure out. Originally believed to be a 1979 performance, the album is in fact from 1977, capturing Sun Ra spontaneously rehearsing solo piano pieces and covers of big band tunes he was most fond of, like 'At Sundown'.
