Peter Austin recalls, ..."this song was recorded for B K Calnek (Caltone label) in 1968. I saw my future with the first love of my life, Hortense Lewis, was coming to an end. We started having a lot of domestic problem, so i wrote this song, "Lonely Heartaches", and funny enough she sang background vocal along with Hugh Godfrey. It was the best selling record for the producer, and my last recording for him. It wasn't long after this recording he pack up the business and migrated to the United States.
