The Steve Mason-led Scottish indie icons came to prominence with this collection of initial EPs (originally released in 1998) and enter 2025 with a reissue of the songs that put them on the map. The most famous song here is 'Dry The Rain' because it's played in the John Cushak-starring comedy about a record shop owner, High Fidelity. The reissue comes as the band have reunited for the first time since they split in 2004. Steve Mason has had a strong solo career in the time after their split, but the power of the Beta Band's music has never dwindled and so it's a deeply appreciated new era. And what better way to return than with the hallowed first recordings in audiophile quality?
