Mondo, the collectible art division of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, is issuing the soundtrack to Steven Spielberg's seminal horror flick Poltergeist. Includes 5 previously unreleased tracks. Pressed on 180g, with randomly-inserted clear vinyl.

Jerry Goldsmith's score gives expression to Spielberg's uncanny juxtaposition of sleepy US suburbs and creepy evil forces - starting with a version of The Star Spangled Banner, it descends into expositions of the infamously eerie title theme, plus atonality, horn blasts and high-strung dread as the sinister plotline of the film is unwound.
